AWARDS NIGHT BANQUET AND DANCE

October 18

Donations: If you have a company or know someone who might want to donate an award or a door prize, please let the Awards Committee know. High Point Awards are , Runner-Ups are and others vary in cost. Even can be applied to a Tail Ender Award in a division, or a certificate.

Anyone who donates toward the year end awards has their name on the award as donor, and is thanked in an ad in the Strathmore Standard and Rocky view Five Village Weekly. Door prize donors (who are not club members) have their name specially shown at the Awards Night, plus being included in the Thank You ads.

Please bring a potluck item, such as a salad, vegetable dish or desert, large enough to feed your family plus two. The club provides the buns, condiments, as well as the bigger meat items, like roast, ham or turkey (we pay for the meat, but get a volunteer to cook it). Also, we ask each family or individual member to bring one item for the door prize table. This can be a lead shank, feed of some kind, gift certificate, craft or anything else. Sale of the door prize tickets usually cover the cost of the hall and the D-Jay. Everyone is welcome, so bring the kids and grandparents along for the fun.

The Awards Night will be held at the Lyalta Hall.

Cost of tickets are $10 for a family or $5 single, and starts at 6:00p.m.

VOLUNTEERS

Katrina volunteered to be our Show Co-ordinator this year, and Keith and Norma has kindly agreed to be our Gymkana Co-ordinators. They will need lots of help to get these jobs done. If you can spare some time to hand out ribbons, help in the arena with the judge, announce, open and shut the gate, be a timekeeper, or set up and take down equipment, you will be most appreciated. Besides, it helps you qualify for year end awards.

Membership Handbooks

The handbooks have been updated and are available to all members. If you didn't get one when you paid your membership, just ask - we will have them at all the meetings and other events.
