The Fun Country Riding Club of Strathmore was incorporated in November 1988, but has existed since 1979 under the name Fun Country Riders. It was formed to promote fellowship, education, sportsmanship, competition, and general family recreation through the use of horses. We try to encourage members to improve riding skills and training levels of their horses, with a particular emphasis on our children and young people.
Every year there are 8 Shows/Gymkanas. We ride in the Strathmore Heritage Days Parade, have an annual trail ride (Mesa Butte, Kananaskis), compete in the Chestermere Fair Open Gymkhana, and have many clinics and seminars.
